For the English travel writing project we were to choose a plac in the world and to write three pieces of work on it. These pieces of work were descriptive, informative and persuasive. I chose the place i was born and raised, which is also my hometown. This village is very small and is located in the South-East of Germany. We had alot of time to do this, and this included class time. It was an individual project, yet we got lots of feedback from Mr. Bowe. We also had to present it infront of the class with pictures.
So What?
I think that my piece of work was excellent, i recieved the best mark in the grade. I got a 10, 10, 9 out of 10, 10, 10 respectively. I am really proud of this as this is a lot to achieve for. However i did work very hard on this project and so i think my mark was deserved. I think that what helped me write this piece so well is the passion i have for the place. This project was the reason i got a 6 in English, and it was nearly a 7. I also practiced my oral skills with the presentation infront of the class. I think that this is a very good achievement for me, as i got such a high mark compared to most people. I think that the language i used was really good and i took a lot of time doing this. I also included extra work which i think is the reason i got such a high mark.
Now what?
I improved as a student a lot. I improved in creativity because we also had to do a presentation. I also improved my language skills a lot. When i got my marks back my confidence was also really high, as i had just received a really good mark in a project. I also improved my organizational skills, due to the fact that it was such a big project i had to organize nearly every move in advance
